Beginners Hatha Yoga

This is a gentle and relaxing mat based class suitable for everyone.

We start with relaxation in Shavasana and then progress with a gentle flow of seated, standing and lying postures to open the hips, stretch the legs and body. Constant focus is on breathing throughout the class to calm the mind and relax the body.

Specific breathing techniques are practiced at the end of the class to help with tension release, anxiety, depression and stress. EMR TEK red light technology is also used during relaxation to help with healing the body, mind and cell regeneration.

Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga involves breathing, relaxation and postures by sitting on a chair, not lying on a mat. It’s beneficial for people who can’t lie on the floor as they get the same benefit as regular Yoga practice. It is very gentle and can be practiced by all ages from 9 upwards.

In standard Yoga we don’t think about the joints but it’s important to have healthy mobile joints. Chair Yoga will help people gain or regain it.

It is excellent for people with rheumatism, arthritis, high blood pressure, heart problems or other ailments where vigorous exercise isn’t possible. It’s good for eliminating energy blockages in the joints and for improving coordination, self-awareness and self-confidence. EMR TEK red light technology is also used during relaxation at the end of the class to help with healing the body, mind and cell regeneration.
